The Vienna Academy of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (VMA) is one of Austria‘s leading institutions in the field of postgraduate medical education.

VMA was founded in 1924 and managed for many years by the Nobel laureate Julius Wagner-Jauregg, is a non-profit organisation with a board consisting exclusively of faculty members of the Vienna University School of Medicine.

The VMA has always been, and continues to be dedicated to serving the needs of the medical non-profit sector, by supporting medical associations and organising medical training and scientific events within the health care field.
